OUR STORY

Hi. I’m Nicole — the other half of Rellek Films helping coordinate your experience and adding a feminine touch to the editing for your wedding artifact. I’m also Tommy’s wife — so I see firsthand all that goes into documenting your day through film.

Question: If you could have a photo of when you learned to ride a bike or a video what would you choose?

I know I would choose a video in a heartbeat. I want to see my pigtails and pink bike streamers blowing in the wind. I want to see my dad let go of my seat and the joy on my parent’s faces. I want to somehow, jump back into that moment—and a video allows you to do that.

Don’t get me wrong—photos are incredibly valuable. Our family spends money every year documenting our growing family, but what I am proposing is that maybe we don’t realize the value of the video until it’s too late. Maybe along with the photography, a great videographer should be at the top of your list.

Tommy and I were married 10 years ago. This was before the time of highlight films. We were fortunate to have a friend film our ceremony with a camcorder but unfortunately it was taped on 2 tiny tapes that needed a special adaptor to view.

For our 10th anniversary, Tommy surprised me by digitally remastering the tapes so we were finally able to view our wedding — a priceless anniversary gift.

Why was this so important to me? I had tons of photos—3 CDs worth in fact. Some of these we proudly display in our home — but after 10 years, I longed to see my day in action. I wanted to swoon at how young and beautiful we were. I wanted to watch Tommy’s expression as I walked down the aisle and when our hands finally met. I wanted to see my gifted best friend sing to us, and listen to our vows once all over again. It was more than I imagined.

I watched in tears and listened closely to the words of family members, some who have passed away. I wanted to relive the day — I always want to be able to relive that day.

Tommy spends hours prepping for an event and an entire day filming your wedding. He spends endless hours watching it all from every angle. He selects the very best shots to compose a true keepsake — your wedding highlight film. Everything from your ceremony, first dances, the toasts, or any other special event that you would like to include, it’s all there to relive each year.

This investment will last a lifetime. We hope you’ll pass it down with pride to each generation. When the flowers fade, the food is enjoyed, the dances are danced, what will you have to relive it one more time? I hope a video —I know I truly treasure mine.

with love -
Nicole
